Pest Alert: Spotted Lanternfly (click for more info)
Dear Community Members,
As you may know, a "Meet the Candidates" event took place on Saturday, August 15th, at the Dingman Township Park on Log Tavern Road. At the request of the Board and the Township Administrator, this message is to inform association members that the event was not sponsored by the Board of Directors or Dingman Township.
Today, the Administration Office received a call from the Township Administrator, who clarified that the Township Supervisors did not authorize the event. It was conveyed that Dorothea Blom requested to reserve the park but was informed that the final decision rested with the Township Supervisors, and their answer was "No."
The Township Administrator then asked Dorothea if she could host the event at another location. Dorothea mentioned that the group did not want to hold the event in the CLCA Recreation Building because they preferred not to let other Board Members know what they were planning. She also stated that the building was already rented on the 15th, which was not accurate.
The Township Administrator had previously communicated with Dorothea, explaining that the meeting could not be held in the park as the township did not want to be associated with any political events or give the impression that they were sponsoring the gathering.
